Letter from a Customer

"Hello, I stopped into your store on Saturday (Dec 15) to do some Christmas shopping for my brother. After a frustrating day on Calgary's streets, battling traffic and dealing with less than pleasant salespeople, I was not in a great mood. Despite your store being rather busy, I was warmly greeted by a staff member who took the time to help me out. Although I was an avid X-country skier as a kid, it has been years since I took part in the sport and was quite lost when I walked in. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the products, and appeared to actually enjoy his job (somewhat rare these days)! I left your store in a much better mod than when I walked in. In my line of work, I have to deal with complaints. I find people are quick to complain, but not quick to compliment. So rather than complain about the less than stellar service I received elsewhere on Saturday, I will instead compliment your staff and thank you for your help. I didn't catch the name of your staff person, ( he was younger guy with a beard) but I'm guessing all of your staff have that same level of commitment and love of the sport , which shows in their customer service.
