What season is it?

You may have noticed that mother nature has been toying with us lately, switching rapidly between spring and winter.  One day warm and sunny and snow the next.   Well if life brings you lemons, make lemonade!

Easton superlight tents in store now!

We've just received our Easton delivery!

If you're looking for a tent weighing about a pound per person, then the Kilo carbon two person, or the Kinetic carbon three person could be the tent for you.

Easton have been making some of the best tent poles in the world for many years now, and have now released their own tent line in the same quality that we're used to from them. I've already had one of the Kinetic Carbon tents down into the Grand Canyon & back and I can safely say that I'm duely impressed.

Summer hours start in April

Whew! What  a great winter.

As we approach mud season, we'll be toning down our hours and getting  out a little more ourselves.

So, as of the 13th and 14th of April, we will be reverting to our summer hours - closed on Sundays and Mondays but open 10am - 6pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am - 5pm Saturdays.

If you can't make it during our normal hours, don't worry, we can open evenings or Sundays by appointment - just let us know.

Snow is beautiful and deep further out. Go play.

For those of us that back country snowshoe and ski the season and conditions are still fantastic out there - particularly north of Banff.

There are a number of excellent trails worthy of your time and effort, just be sure to chose carefully - avalanche conditions are uniformly poor everywhere, and safety is paramount (check the bulletins and either carry safety gear or avoid avi terrain completely).  Ask us for some ideas, or to update your safety gear.
