Nordic Walking introduction.

We're taking advantage of the awesome summer-like weather and setting up an introduction to Nordic Walking on Wednesday 29th May at 6pm.
Nordic walking is a fantastic full body exercise that takes much from nordic skiing techniques. It's low impact and easily accessable for anyone and any fitness level.
Bookings are essential, as spaces are limited. Entry is $20.00 per person, and you can rent a set of poles for just $8 if you require a set.

Is your backcountry gear lighter than 5kg (11lbs)? It could be.

Many of us have hiked long distances carrying 20kg (44lb) or more, but it really isn't necessary.
It is entirely possible to carry a full set of gear (without food and water) that weighs in at about 5kg (11lb)- without sacrificing any comforts at all.
Imagine doing four days with a starting pack weight of only around 11kg (24lbs).
How much further could you go? Longer? Just easier?

The GBCTA's 3rd annual fundraiser, Tunes for Trails, is taking place Saturday, April 27 at the Bragg Creek Community Centre, and there are still a few tickets left.
